Best For Birds

my mom lives in south carolina has for yrs this is the first time anything like this has happened. easily 50 if not more red robins like i said above, any meanings for this or beliefs?
so with it actually snowing down there (it usually doesnt) that could affect them to possible migrate to her home?

We have loads of them down here in Florida, too. It’s BRRRRR cold up north and they are still workin’ there way south to warmer weather. She probably has some good eatins’ in her yard as well:-)

Does anyone know how I could safely and legally acquire a robin as a pet bird?

something good to eat must be near by.

Sure! She is fortunate that they chose to use her yard as their temporary home.

There can be beetles living just under the grass which in the grub stage are large and white, and make fine eating for birds. These beetles change into the flying form in summer but in the spring you can still dig them up in the grub stage.
Your robins may have found a good number of them and are having a feast. Good thing, too, because these grubs will eat up your lawn and make brown patches of dead grass.

This means that your mom has plenty of food that the robins want to eat, such as mealworms, berries, and nuts. Robins will stay wherever they find a good food source.
