I would like to know where I can purchase a fake owl to scare away birds from my balcony?

or does anyone know of another method to keep birds from fouling (excuse the pun) my balcony with excrement (poo) I’m up to my neck in it they also fly into the windows…

Below are three links. The first is for the owl you talked about. The second is for a product called holographic scare tape. And the third is for a motion activated water sprinkler… maybe not appropriate for smaller birds… but something to think about anyway. Here are the links:

The website they are listed on, Lee Valley, is a respectable Canadian Mail-Order company. I have done business with them many times and have always been satisfied. You can make up your own mind about where or if to buy these things… at least now you know they exist! Hope this helps!

Fake owls should be able to be found in a plant nursery type store or a Home Depot, or check for fake owls on the internet I am sure you could find them there. Are these birds perching near your balcony? Is there a taller tree or building near you that they leave and fly above your balcony and thus "foul" your area? Maybe you could rig some motion detector that emits a predatory bird sound to the birds who are pooing, sorry I realize that sounds pretty far-fetched, but preventing this situation may be difficult.

    Dog or cat hair?

Look for repellents at the home store in your area.

Been there done that, ill spent 20 bucks, I had better luck with a big blow up snake that I moved around all the time. The other cure is a loud noise often. I used to shoot a BB gun into a tree in back to get the birds to quit roosting in it and pooping on my patio. NO I was not shooting birds just scaring them. All garden centers usually carry both.

Fake owls do not work… You need movement and a fake owl will just sit there. Anything that will reflect light and can move in the wind will do the trick. Remember the childhood pinwheel/windmill that would twirl in the wind – they work remarkably well. Wind chimes that are shiny – remember the birds need to be scared off by movement. I know of a construction site that uses streamers of aluminum foil tied to string and hung high have worked. You’ll want to be prepare to change it up – birds are not birdbrained and will figure out there is no danger and returen. Mix it up and have fun with it.
